I am happy to report that the heat has finally given us a little break the past few days.....we have had to deal with rain but the rain is very welcome at this point! I added a bunch of new patterns the other day and here are a few of my favorite from Little House Needleworks-

OK- it has been forever since I have updated this blog but I promise I will try and do so more often. Today was mostly spent on sending out auto ships. Just received both the Little House Peppermint Twist- just love the JABCO button to go with it- yummy enough to eat....I am so excited for the holiday season (can you tell I am very tired of this hot weather!) Also just released is the 6th chart in the Blackbird Anniversaries of the Heart series- this one is called Happy Birthday. This has been a great series and I can't wait to see the finished piece (if anyone is sewing this either as one piece or separate please let me know-would love to see pictures)

Nest up is the August SYHO from Ink Circles- this has a lot of people talking and she has designed a companion piece that uses the extra floss- can't wait for these to arrive! Hope everyone is staying cool and enjoying their summer! Can't believe the kids start school in like 3 weeks....where does the time go??

July 4th

Wow I can not believe how fast this past few months have gone by! I know that today is the 4th of July but the big celebrations around here were yesterday. We had a great time at the parade and fireworks with the kids and most of my extended family. Today was a much more mellow day and I spent it with just the kids and my husband. I have not been very good at keeping up with my blog but will try harder- I also just started a page on facebook (under Wasatch Needlecraft) so will try and update smaller news there as well.

Not much planned for the week beyond work so nothing really excited to report except that it is my daughters 9th birthday on Tuesday- her party will be next Sat. She is having an art party since she has been so into drawing lately. I really am amazed at how good she is considering she has had no lessons and has just picked it up- I will need to try and get a picture from her tomorrow and post it. I really can not believe that she is nine already....how fast kids grow up! Why is it when they are babies we want and encourage them to grow, walk and do things on their own but once they are older we want them to stay babies forever? I am so proud of the person that she is becoming- truly a remarkable young lady in the works.

Hope everyone has a great week and I will talk to you soon-

Sorry it has been so long since I have update the blog- can't believe how fast the past few weeks have gone by. My surgery last week went well but think I over did it for a few days and the past few days I have been basically down and out. Am feeling better this afternoon so am hopeful that by tomorrow I will be a hundred times better. I don't remember who I told but my "new" car broke down on the way to the hospital for the surgery so we are not dealing with that (needs a new engine) as well....never ends ;)

Spent this past weekend with my family (parents, 6 siblings and spouses, 20 grandkids and 3 great grandkids) for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. As I mentioned before I did a sewing piece for them and was trying to get it finished and framed before the weekend I totally forgot to get a picture. I will get over there in a few days and take one and post it. It turned out well- not perfect by any means but aren't we always critical of our own work??

Anyway for an update at the store I just posted the new Impie Hattie & Bea piece that goes with the new Little House Liberty Belles. It is a cute piece and I will only be getting a few in so if you want yours make sure you get it early. I never seemed to get them posted to the "new" site but I still have a few of the Tea Cozy pieces from the beginning of the year if you are interested in those let me know.

I will be working hard the next few days or so getting some more clearance items added to the site (will send out a newsletter when those are ready to go). That should about do it today- hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Thread Sale

Just a quick heads up that I am loading a few more threads working towards the storewide thread sale. I will probably send out a newsletter sometime on Monday but wanted to give you notice so you can get your lists together.

I hope that everyone is having a great weekend- we have been dealing with off and on rain here but it is supposed to warm up towards the middle of the week. I have been working on a sewing piece for my parents 50th Anniversary....this is a surprise so I won't give details now but will post pictures as soon as it is done.....only have a couple of weeks to finish and frame- better get to work ;) I will have to say that plain cross stitch is not my favorite....this is a larger piece and I have to change colors every few minutes. My first and true love is hardanger and even some cross stitch with speciality stitches is great. My next project will be a petit point that I am excited about- I have not done a 1 over 1 in some time and just love the look of it.

Enjoy whatever project you are working on and I will talk to you soon!

I'm Back!

Well actually we have been back since late (very late...hate delayed planes) Monday night. I have been busy this week trying to get everything caught up. I have been adding a tone of things to the site and will get out a newsletter hopefully later today but thought you would want to see a few pictures. The first is my daughter McKayla- she loves animals and thought it was cool to hold the starfish. The of course is Trey- he really wanted to find the bottom of the beach- he wants to go back to he can find it. Last is a picture of both kids and my husband enjoying the fun times!
