Just wanted to let you know about another cool thing that I saw in Nashville. I have been seeing ads for the new Kreinik Holographic Metallic threads but did not know what to think....until now. I have not stitched with them but I was able to see them in person at Nashville where they had a couple of ornaments stitched up with it and all I can say is cool!
(Taken from the Kreinik site) These are iridescent threads that have flecks of color in them and when put in the light they truly dazzle and they give off a 3 dimensional look. You can use these anywhere you want to add dimensional color- Right now there are 16 shades available in #8 Braid, Tapestry #12 Braid, 1/16" Ribbon and 1/8" Ribbon. While I do not have these on the site yet if interested you can email me and I can order them for you.
You can see them here www.kreinik.com

Hmmm, I'm getting ready to kit up LJ Perrin's canvaswork piece Starry Nights - maybe I should see if I can convert the RG ribbon to these, just to try them?
ReplyDeleteDid not see much of the ribbon but can't saw for sure but I know the ornaments they did really sparkled.
